Soft X-ray spectra in regimes with low plasma density and temperature at the L-2M stellarator

چکیده
Soft X-ray plasma emission spectra were measured at the L-2M stellarator in OH regime with low density (ne ? 1019 m-3) and temperature (?200–400 eV). It is demonstrated that on spectra, there no dip energy range corresponding to several thermal energies of electrons or higher. This means stellarator, "X-ray dip" phenomenon not observed, as it was T-11M tokamak. In axial ECRH heating power PECRH = 250 kW, soft also measured. this case, observed too.

X–ray Spectra from Neutron Stars Accreting at Low Rates
The spectral properties of X–ray radiation produced in a static atmosphere around a neutron star accreting at very low rates are investigated. Previous results by Alme & Wilson (1973) are extended to the range 10 ≤ L/LEdd ≤ 10 to include the typical luminosities, L ∼ 10 − 10 ergs s, expected from isolated neutron stars accreting the interstellar medium. The emergent spectra show an overall hard...
متن کاملMeasurements of discrete and continuous X-ray spectra with a photodiode at room temperature
Spectra of Xand g-rays emitted by radioactive sources and of the radiation emitted by X-ray tubes, in the energy range 15±160 keV, have been measured with a silicon PIN photodiode at room temperature. The experimental Xray tube spectra are compared with calculated ones on the basis of a semi-empirical model. Results indicate that the method utilized is adequate for the characterization of X-ray...

متن کاملProbing High Density Plasmas with Soft X-Ray Lasers
Collisionally pumped x-ray lasers are ideal for a wide variety of plasma diagnostics. They have been demonstrated over a wavelength range extending from 3.5 nm to 40 nm and have output energies as high as 10 mJ in 150 ps pulses. The beam divergence is less than 15 mrad and the linewidth λ/∆λ~10 provides sufficient longitudinal coherence for interferometry. Using various arrangements constructed...
